Linh Do

Co-Founder, OurSay.org

Linh Do is a social change advocate working primarily on environmental issues through community organising, altering paradigms through technology and political advocacy. She began this line of work through her successful Change A Million Light Bulbs campaign that led to legislature phasing out the selling of incandescent light bulbs within Australia.

Since then, Linh has been focused on Change&Switch and improving civic journalism standards at the UN climate change negotiations. Pieces produced through this project has been featured by the Guardian, ABC and the Age. Internationally, Linh is UNEP's youth advisor for better engagement within the Asia-Pacifc region. Within this role, Linh has attended the UN Commission on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) and UNEP's Governing Council (GC/GMEF) meetings. Linh has also actively worked with the Make Poverty History coalition, various youth climate coalitions within and outside of Australia, The Climate Project and Alliance for Climate Protection.

As a co-founder of OurSay, an online platform promoting increased democratic engagement, she is also interested in democracy within Australia. Linh is currently working on a sustainable development road tour through Africa and South America in the lead up to Rio+20. Linh is a frequent public speaker, in addition to being an occasional writer and photographer. She is nearing the completion of a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne.
