Chris Varney, currently holds the position of National Co-Director of Vision Generation (VGen). This role involves Chris attending and speaking at events and forums on behalf of VGen and World Vision on key issues related to the world’s poorest including child rights and human trafficking, and raising the profile of VGen amongst the community. From beginning as a 40 Hour Famine participant in his local secondary college, Wantirna (secondary) College, Chris has contributed to the work of World Vision Australia (WVA) and Vision Generation (VGen), World Vision's youth movement, in a number of capacities. Chris’ background in the youth sector includes involvement with the Youth Affairs Council of Victoria (YACVic) as a member of their Board of Governance and Young Media Spokesperson. He has also been involved in the Victorian Student Representative Council, the United Nations Youth Association, Youth Week Victoria and as a Facilitator at the Rotary Youth Leadership Award; a Rotary sponsored youth seminar on personal development, vision and values.
